Easy Installing Shed – New Models Are At Home In Any Era

Walthers announces the release of the Cornerstone Series Co-Op Storage Shed kit. This easy-to-build model is available in two scales; the N Scale version will be released in December 2003 and the HO Scale version in February 2004.

The new Co-Op Storage Shed is a model that's at home on any siding in any era. Thousands of these structures are found across the continent in yards, at team tracks, fuel dealers, lumberyards and, of course, at grain elevators. Their function is strictly utilitarian: to provide shelter and temporary storage during the transfer of cargo between freight cars and wagons or trucks. Similar buildings have been in use since the 1800s and many still stand today, so its a natural addition to steam- or diesel-era scenes.

The easy-to-build Cornerstone Series kit features a wood structure on 'stilts' that bring the floor height to the level of a box car floor. Each side of the building has a pair of sliding doors 'and each end has a window. Also included are full-color printed signs for various grain businesses.
