Cedar Siding Sheds – Natural, Stain or Solid Stain |
|
August 14, 2005 By: David Thompson Cedar Siding Sheds – Natural, Stain or Solid StainCedar siding sheds are very popular with many homeowners for many reasons. Homeowners will add a cedar shed to their backyard as extra storage and a convenience for the entire family. Some sheds or garages are used to store items such as lawnmowers and other garden equipment that would normally be stored in the garage. Other times the shed will be used to house the swimming pool motor and provide a change room for the pool. A shed in the yard must also be aesthetically pleasing and there are many different ways to stain cedar siding that commonly is used as the sidings on garages. Some consumers will leave their cedar siding shed as is with no stain at all and allow the siding to reach its mature colour of silver grey. Other owners like to preserve the natural colour of the cedar on their sheds or garages, and will stain the siding to preserve the natural colour of the wood. A third alternative is to place a solid stain on the siding and hide the wood all together. Both stains need to be touched up every couple of years, but the siding on the shed facing the sun often must be stained more often. Whether or not you stain your cedar shed or garage, just getting all of the lawn material out of your garage is a relief. For some consumers this is the only way they can arrange to park their car in the garage. Backyard cedar sheds and garages are a great way to both enhance your yard as well as provide a practical service for you and your family. Staining cedar sidings with a natural stain can be one of the best ways to preserve the natural colour of the cedar on the shed and avoid the silver grey look in a few years. About
